A nice addition to a garden. It does not always have to be big. Moving water is relaxing and can have a cooling effect.

Often overlooked. Drainage is always the first thing we look at when we do a job. Making sure water can get away is the most important part. Who wants to paddle on their new patio or damp in the house?

Hand in hand with drainage we find is plumbing. When we are digging up areas it makes sense sometimes to put in new taps and water supplies to all areas of the garden for irrigation.

Timber is a nice material to work with, warm in colour and feel.

We use timber for many structures including seats, arches, arbours, walls, raised beds, edging, gates, steps – the list is endless.

A big part of landscaping requires moving of soil and therefore using machinery is the main way we do this. We own our machinery, but sometimes hire in larger ones when we need them. Driving the machines ourselves helps us organise the site better and minimise the amount of mess and damage a machine can make.

Many of our clients are surprised by how much brick and blockwork is required, when building gardens. Walls, Retaining Walls and Steps need to be structurally sound and these must be installed properly on a substantial footing.

Flint Walls are not unusual in our part of the world and have a nice look to them.

Rendering has in the last few years become a more popular way to finish off a wall and give a different feel, with a texture or splash of colour.
